Meet the Board

Nancy Rebecca
Founder & Board President

Nancy retired from nursing to devote her life to teaching intuitive meditation after her personal experience in its holistic healing qualities 25 years ago. Each time Nancy meditated she noticed changes in her health...

...staff to support administrative vision. Her passion to find ways to enhance the health and wellness of her community before it became a crisis led her to explore the benefits of meditation.

In 1995, Nancy experienced a profound spiritual awakening following a meditation exercise. Her own personal experience inspired a journey of discovery to learn how meditation could transform physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health in her patients and clients. This led her on a journey to travel the world to deepen her understanding of what other cultures have known for thousands of years.

Nancy has 15 years of International experience in 3rd world environments teaching the importance of a healthy energy field. She shared through teaching the healing techniques to others experiencing extreme poverty, and all the complexities that can come with it such as physical, emotional and sexual abuse. Even with her nursing experience, Nancy found that energetic tools crossed multiple barriers to self-healing in a way that could not be easily defined in our western minded culture. She found that, 3rd world cultures, with nothing to lose, welcomed these techniques to fill the needs of nurturing more hope for their futures.

Nancy currently consults with individuals to help them identify their strengths and imbalances in their energy field. In her twenty-five years she has taught 100’s of meditation classes and personally studied over 15,000 cases, bringing that wealth of experiential knowledge to Soul Seeds.

Here in the West, we are now experiencing an awakening to the true potential of meditation and its abilities to heal past traumas, and family patterns offering hope for a better future for themselves, their families, and communities. Although ancient in history, this new approach to health and wellness is considered cutting edge as our local and global communities find new fresh ways to meet the ever-growing demands of a different approach to our underserved populations.

Nancy Rebecca looks forward to witnessing the vision of Soul Seeds mission to unify our communities and embrace hope in our capacity to grow our love for each other.

Yvonne Kilcup
Founder | Board Vice President & Treasurer

Yvonne always knew her passion for the well-being of individuals and communities would lead to the nursing profession. And, when she began searching for more meaning in life for herself and...

...her patients, she began to explore meditation and energetic healing. She now uses her considerable nursing skills to educate others on the value of spiritual and energetic health. In addition to 25 years’ experience in hospital/clinical settings, Yvonne is certified in Healing Touch and is a graduate of Church of Divine Man Divinity school, where she learned advanced meditation techniques.

In 2000, Yvonne found that she had the opportunity to share the benefits of energetic health internationally. To ensure the meditation tools could be used for years to come, Yvonne helped instruct teachers, nurses, and community leaders in several countries, including Nepal, South Africa, and Thailand. In addition, Yvonne sought to learn from Indigenous cultures about their natural forms of healing for their communities that often had the deepest needs, yet no access to medical care.

Her friends often joke that if you look up “nurse” in the dictionary, Yvonne’s picture would be there. She embodies all the attributes of a caring individual committed to improving the quality of life for as many people as possible. When it comes to stress, anxiety, fear, and depression, Yvonne knows adding meditation and healing enhances all traditional therapies. She believes it is time for a new way of living!

Kathy Bales
Founding Board Member

Kathy was part of the team that dreamed Soul Seeds into reality. It holds a special place in her heart since its meditation techniques helped to transform her life. When Kathy found herself looking for a way to...

...deal with stress and anxiety from simply living life and the daily decisions, she found the meditation programs offered by Intuitive Mind. The positive changes Kathy experienced from the programs inspired her to accept a position as their office manager in 2016. She says, “I love what I do!”Originally from Monroe, Michigan, Kathy relocated with her family to Tacoma, Washington in 2001. She graduated with an Associates of Science degree in 1995 and has a varied background working in the retail industry, from employee management and training to managing shipping/receiving for a $2 million company. A true believer in work/life balance, Kathy enjoys hiking and exploring the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest with her husband, Mike; she also loves spoiling their granddaughter, Dawn any time she can!

Kathy brings more than 20 years of office and people skills to her position on the Board, enhancing the overall organizational and financial management. In addition to her Intuitive Mind training, Kathy is a Sangoma (traditional South African (Zulu) healer) and has a private practice as a healer. Because her training in energetic health had such a life-changing impact on her, Kathy’s true passion -- and shared vision of Soul Seeds -- is to assist in getting the meditation tools into the hands of everyone who can benefit from them in order to help heal themselves.

Kathleen Dowd
Board Secretary

Kathleen has had a regular meditation practice for over 25 years; however, it was when she discovered the tools taught by Soul Seeds that her spiritual growth and healing really started...

... to grow by leaps and bounds. As a healer, one of her deepest desires is to share what she has learned with others, which is what led her to volunteer with Soul Seeds, first as a healer at the Free Healing Friday events and more recently as a board member. Witnessing the healing shifts that are possible with this work has been one of the most meaningful aspects of her personal and service-oriented career paths.

For the past decade Kathleen has served in a variety of healing roles -- from yoga teacher and yoga therapist and sponsorship in 12-step programs to starting her own business as an intuitive energy healing guide. She finds great meaning and purpose in helping others uncover a deeper connection to their body, mind, spirit, and the dynamic nature of their own energy field. She thrives on developing transformative healing partnerships with her clients. She is a graduate of the Psychic Mastery International program (2019) at Intuitive Mind (umbrella educational organization of Soul Seeds) and is currently in the advanced program.

Prior to working as a spiritual and energetic healer, Kathleen worked in the environmental field for over two decades (she now sees this as her Earth-healing career years). She served in a variety of roles while working with local, national, and international environmental nonprofit organizations, including a two-year stint as a Peace Corps volunteer in Bolivia and two years in rural sustainable community development in Mexico. She was also selected as a Young Water Professional in 2002 and invited to present at the Stockholm Water Conference. During this time, she also served on several nonprofit boards, including Committee Chair of the Stewardship Committee for the Sycamore Land Trust (Bloomington, IN) and Board President for the Friends of the Cedar River Watershed (Seattle, WA).

Cameron Jones
Board Member

Cameron’s loving family always instilled the importance of altruism. He is genuinely interested in bringing the healing meditative practices that have become so instrumental in his life to support...

...individuals’ mental health and wellness. He has been committed to philanthropic avenues throughout his life, including volunteering with Covenant House NYC, which provides safety, shelter, and programming for homeless youth, as well as mentorship programs through Duke University Athletics and NBA Cares’ Mentorship Program. One of his main contributions to Soul Seeds is the pursuit of developing “magical” messaging and experiences expressed through unique storytelling to generate empathy, showcase diverse perspectives, and ultimately elucidate the imperative of coming together for the collective good.

Cameron is strategic, resourceful, precise, and intellectually curious. A former Division 1 athlete with a degree in English from Duke University, Cameron has a background in sports partnerships (United States Olympic Committee), operations (NBA), and end-to-end event management (Kornit Digital). He combines business acumen with an optimistically creative perspective and an adaptive capability style to achieve excellent execution.

In his free time, Cameron enjoys watching sports (cheering on his beloved New England Patriots and Duke University teams), spending time with loved ones, and discovering new ways to bring light to the world. To that end, Cameron is enrolled in the Intuitive Mind Home Study course and actively working to continually expand his repertoire in the energy healing space.

Angela Picardo
Board Member

Angela’s life's work – her purpose and passion -- has been journeying with historically excluded communities, always seeking to empower them from within. She believes the meditation...

...used by Soul Seeds help achieve that goal -- allowing individuals to wake up to their power, to grow and thrive. Angela is a Sister of Saint Joseph of Peace who has dedicated her life to Peace through Justice, with a commitment to personally connect with and uplift communities in need, including special education students, people in homeless shelters, and those in senior services. Her heart's focus was on Student Support Services, Worker Retraining, Women's Empowerment, and in-service programs with the Tulalip Tribes.

Angela holds a Master of Education Administration degree from Seattle University and a certificate from the Graduate School of Theology in Applied Theology from the University of California, Berkeley. She completed the Intuitive Mind's Psychic Mastery program and considers it her greatest and most efficacious educational experience! As such, she volunteers to support those who are learning the Intuitive Mind energy work techniques.

She knows that she has always been called to caring, heartfelt service. As a child, Angela was the one making friends and protecting others from bullies. She brought home every stray dog and cat – and befriended many who others were leaving out. Her love of animals is well known in her neighborhood, with many dogs wanting to stop by her place on their daily walks for lots of joyful attention and treats! Angela mentioned that although she has many degrees, she is “most comfortable and proud journeying with my soulmates – humans and animals alike.” Now her biggest goal is to share Soul Seeds with the world.
